A couple of weeks ago, I had an unfortunate experience with Facebook and Instagram where my website URL got blocked for days so I was unable to participate in Facebook groups and share my latest posts. This significantly affected my blog traffic and I couldn’t find a solution until finally, someone suggested hiring someone from Fiverr and I’m so thankful they did. Here’s my full Fiverr review.

MY HONEST REVIEW OF FIVERR
WHAT IS FIVERR?
Similar to Upwork, Fiverr is an online marketplace that connects freelancers with individuals or business owners who require digital services.
Although in my opinion, Fiverr is more convenient in terms of hiring because all you have to do is choose a category or service, and a directory of freelancers will pop up showing you exactly what they can do to help you with your business, unlike Upwork where you have to post a job opening and wait for freelancers to apply.
For example, if you search ‘social media services’ on Fiverr, you’ll know straight away which freelancer to consider because their expertise is highlighted on their profile.
This could be a real time saver especially if you need something done quickly.
Here’s a screenshot so you’ll understand what I mean.
WHICH SERVICES ARE OFFERED THROUGH FIVERR?
Fiverr features a wide range of services in the following categories:
- Graphics & Design
- Digital Marketing
- Writing & Translation
- Video & Animation
- Music & Audio
- Programming & Tech
- and a whole lot more
So you can find pretty much anything you can think of that can help you with your business.
MY FIVERR EXPERIENCE
Hiring someone from Fiverr was easy.
But to be honest, I was a bit hesitant at first because I was afraid to give a stranger access to my website or Facebook account.
However, I was becoming desperate and felt I had no other choice.
So I typed ‘unblock URL from Facebook’ on the search bar and chose the freelancer with the best rating.
Then I asked him if he needed access to my Facebook account but it turned out he only needed to know my URL which was a huge relief.
The unblocking service itself costed $15.79AUD but that did not include the Fiverr service fee and GST so the total amount was $20.84AUD.
Shortly after accepting and paying for the service, I received the receipt through my email.
I actually expected the service to be done within 5-7 days based on what was indicated on the terms but I was surprised to receive a completion notice just two days after!
Here’s the timeline:
I was so happy that the freelancer unblocked my website URL from both Facebook and Instagram at such a short period of time and my only regret was not hiring him sooner.
Overall, the transaction was smooth and I didn’t experience anything negative. The freelancer was polite and easy to communicate with.
I also think the price was fair considering there are some providers who charge hundreds of dollars just for the unblocking service based on what I’ve read.
So if ever you need to hire someone for your business in the future, I definitely recommend searching for freelancers through Fiverr.
My only tip is to do your research and only choose those with a proven track record to avoid any hassle.
